What is your bespoke process like?

1. We will start with a First Conversation scheduled at our atelier or via virtual appointment.

2. This allows us to get to know your story, style preference, timelines, and expectations for your project. We will be assisting you with choosing the right material and also getting your desired gemstone.

3. A rough costing will be shared with you after our First Conversation.

4. Upon confirmation to engage us as your concierge jeweller, a non-refundable commitment fee of RM1000* will be collected for the design and sourcing process.

5. We will take some time to translate your story and express in artistic impression sketches for your one of a kind piece. The first two alterations are complimentary.

6. In the occasion where a specific and/or custom cut diamond and/or gemstone is required to be sourced, a full payment of the inventory will be collected. Please set aside extra lead time of 1-2 months should you are interested in custom cut or rare gemstones.

7. Upon confirmation of the design, timeline and quotation, 50% of the project quotation will be collected as deposit to start the crafting process.

8. The project will be scheduled into our crafting schedule once the deposit has been received. Depending on the complexity of the piece, the lead time will vary between 12 to 16 weeks (Not including lead time for the sourcing of the gemstone)

9. Upon completion of the piece, the full payment is required before/ during collection at our atelier or before delivery for overseas delivery

   *RM1000 Commitment Fee is non-refundable upon cancellation of the project.
   

What will I receive for my bespoke?

Your bespoke service includes:

• A piece uniquely designed for you based on your story

• A complementary bespoke poem inspired by your story

• Gemstone certificate (Only if Applicable)

• Your bespoke piece securely packed in our custom box for keepsake

How long will it take for bespoke?

The lead time varies according to the complexity of the project and our waitlist. It usually takes 4-6 months from the time of our first conversation till delivery. Please do feel free to speak to our team for an estimated time frame.

What materials do you work with?

We mainly work with 18kt yellow gold, 18kt white gold, 18kt rose gold and a custom blend of Silver-Platinum.

Can I resize my bespoke piece?

All rings will be made to the size specified and measured. Upon cases which requires resizing, a nominal fee may be charged depending on additional material and craftsmanship required.

You will be liable for all the shipping costs, and we recommend that you send the piece via insured registered delivery services.

What is your return policy?

As bespoke pieces are agreed upon prior to the start of crafting, we are unable to accept returns and exchanges of bespoke pieces.

Can I get a quotation for a piece I saw online?

As artisans ourselves, we take pride in our own designs and we respect the amount of thoughts and efforts all artists put into their work. Hence, we will only quote and craft our our original designs.

What if I am not based in Malaysia?

We do have experience providing our bespoke services to our overseas clients. The First Conversation can be done online through a virtual appointment, and the subsequent updates is done through emails. If necessary, another online conversation can be scheduled.

Do you craft any jewelleries other than rings?

Yes we do.

What is the payment method?

1. All payment can be performed via bank transfer (Domestic), secured Paypal transfer or Foreign Telegraphic Bank Transfer (International), or via credit card.

2. Upon choosing Paypal transfer, you have the flexibility to use your Paypal account (if you have one), or credit card payment with Paypal secured credit card payment gateway.
   

How will my piece be delivered?

All bespoke pieces will be housed in our thoughtful packaging securely, as they are being delivered to you. In every delivery, we will include a story card of the piece and your bespoke heirloom in a velvet box. We hope to extend a joyful experience of an unboxing of earpieces to you or to whom your gift is meant for.

What if I require my piece to be shipped to me?

1. Domestic shipping

   1.1 We offer express shipping with full insurance coverage for you bespoke order. Please contact us for a quote.

2. International Shipping

   2.1 We offer free shipping with insurance internationally for any purchases above RM15,000.

   2.2 We use fully insured Premium DHL Express as our service provider.

   2.3 The full value of the the piece will be declared upon shipping. Fees like custom duty and tax may apply according to different countries, and it will be the responsibility of the customer. Left & Right is not liable for any delays due to customs or logistic complications.

How should I care for my pieces from Left & Right?

All natural materials including metals, pearls and gemstones are prone to lose their lustre when the come in contact with perfume or lotion.

Wearing your piece into the shower may cause Pearls or certain softer gemstones to absorb the soapy water.

As for clear gemstones, there will be a built up of soap under the cut gemstones reducing the shine.

Harsh chemicals such as chlorine may cause your piece to lose lustre, so do avoid wearing them into the pool.

How careful should I be with my piece from Left & Right?

Here at Left & Right, we will always recommend you materials that are suitable for your lifestyle. However, all metals will collect markings as sign of use and all marks are different depending on your lifestyle.
